TerraCycle is an eco-business that collects cookie wrappers, energy bar wrappers, drink pouches, yogurt containers, soda bottles and corks from consumers and recycles them into school supplies, bags and other products. Just sign up with them and they’ll send you pre-paid collection bags for you to fill with the items you selected. In most cases, they ask that you fill the bag with 100 of the chosen items. They will then pay $0.01 – $0.02 for every item you send them that will be given to your choice from a list of existing charities.
What a great idea to present to your child’s school! It can be a community project that helps the planet and teaches children important lessons on conservation and cooperation. Go to their web site to see a YouTube video on more information about the company and what they are doing.

Oooh, I love this!
