My friend, Recycla, posted the other week on Eco Women about her disappointment over one of her favorite “green” magazines, Plenty, “biting the organic dust”. I couldn’t agree more with her. There aren’t many “green” magazines out there that really grab my attention and when I find one I like, it’s disheartening when just don’t survive. I felt the same about Organic Style Magazine that ended a few years ago.
I went to the Go Green Expo in New York City this past Saturday and had the opportunity to check out a new “green” magazine there (oh yes, and I saw plenty of other cool stuff that I’ll be sharing with you over the coming months as the products become available!). Boho Magazine offers information on “green” style, beauty, and more. It even has a blog with interesting links and postings. Boho Magazine is the first fashion magazine to be 100% recycled in their paper, packaging and inks. If I had to describe the target market for it, I’d say it’s mostly for the 20 -30 something “green girl”, but don’t let that stop you from checking it out if your a more “seasoned” one – there’s something for everyone in it too.
The quarterly magazine can be found at Barnes and Noble Bookstores and Target stores for $4.99. Subscriptions are $20.00 per year with a $6.95 shipping and handling fee.
