Clean Up Your Act With Vinegar & Baking Soda July 19, 2008

In an effort to use less toxic materials in my home, I’ve turned to distilled white vinegar and baking soda to get things clean. It’s amazing how well they work. The two of them together can unclog a drain, and alone, sprayed on vinegar over a few days can get rid of mold in your bathtub. Add a few drops of essential oil, like lavender or lemon, to an all purpose solution for a pleasant scent in your bathroom or kitchen. These ingredients can also clean windows, wood, tiles, and carpets. Visit the Oregon Environmental Council for a downloadable card with all of these recipes.
